NOTICE: Registration has been disabled due to the large number of spammers. If you want to join you must first send an email to: Jane@AHApoetry.com and we will gladly open the door for you.
Here is the place for poets to share their haiku, tanka, haiga, haibun, ghazals, sijo, and to do the maekuzuki and renga with others. Not only do we want your poems, but we also want your comments.
Therefore we ask that for every poem you submit - no more than three a week in any one forum, please – that you write two or more comments to others' poems. Please keep your comments focused on the poem under discussion, without expressing opinions about the poet. You can be critical about the writing, but do so in a civil, kind, and constructive manner while you also acknowledge the strengths of a particular work.
We are seeking to respond to each other's work; therefore, lengthy private conversations in the threads are discouraged. A thread established by another poet is also not the place to post your own work even if citing an example.
We will not allow flaming, displays of ego or anger, or poems condoning violence, racism, or hatred against any group or individual.
If you wish to chat on non-poetry matters, please use the Private Message system. Access to group members via this system also presumes courtesy in all exchanges.
Each forum is moderated and these people are capable and dedicated to the fostering of poetry in a safe and educational atmosphere. If you have a difference of opinion with anyone, you can either clear it up with them outside the forum thread by using the PMs or ask a moderator to help you mediate the situation. Please contact the moderator of the forum if anything being done or posted makes you uncomfortable.
The individual forum moderators determine how and how much sex can be in a posted work. If you suspect your material might offend some readers, please send it first to the moderator of the forum.
Moderators discuss problematic posts off list or on the Moderators' Board. A moderator will then PM or email the author of the post to suggest a remedy. If inappropriate posts remain or exacerbating comments are added, Moderators may delete the thread or posts and send a follow-up email or PM to the member(s) involved.
Basically we believe in the good hearts of writers and it is this creativity we wish to celebrate on this forum. All the above is part of the job of offering you a pleasant atmosphere for sharing your work. Thank you for reading this. |
